We’re looking for a Security Consulting Manager who understands that in energy, oil & gas, and critical infrastructure, a security failure isn’t just an IT problem, it can shut down a pipeline, knock out a power grid, or put people at risk.
You’ll lead complex security initiatives for clients operating in high-stakes environments, combining technical expertise with business insight and the kind of calm, strategic thinking that critical infrastructure demands. This is a client-facing, senior role where you’ll work at the intersection of OT security, cyber strategy, and digital transformation, helping organisations build resilience that holds up under real pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee security programmes for clients in energy, oil & gas, and critical infrastructure ensuring security initiatives are aligned with client objectives and operational realities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical teams, project leads, and business decision-makers.
- Guide clients through the design, implementation, and optimisation of security processes, policies, and technologies across both IT and OT environments.
- Apply emerging security tools and AI-driven risk analysis to help clients stay ahead of evolving threats not just react to them.
- Identify new security opportunities and contribute to business development, including responding to proposals and RFPs.
- Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Provide data-driven insights to monitor project performance and recommend improvements where needed.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years in cybersecurity, with meaningful experience in consulting or large, complex organisations ideally with exposure to critical infrastructure or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of OT/ICS security and the unique challenges of securing operational technology in energy and industrial sectors.
- Broad security domain knowledge across cyber strategy, IAM, vulnerability management, detect & respond, and AI-driven risk.
- A track record of managing complex security projects and client relationships, you know how to earn trust in high-stakes environments.
- Commercial mindset, you can connect security decisions to business outcomes and communicate that clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience engaging clients and responding to proposals or RFPs.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
- A degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (Bachelor or Master level preferred).
